Center for Arabic Study Abroad

Ahlan wa Sahlan wa MarHaban bi-kum to the Center for Arabic Study Abroad (CASA) at the University of Arizona! We are in the process of transferring our official website from Harvard to Arizona. Full details can currently be found on the old site, however, please see key details below for the coming year’s application process.

CASA offers advanced level training in Arabic language and culture to qualified American students at The American University in Cairo and Qasid Arabic Institute in Amman. Applicants to the various CASA programs must be US citizens or permanent residents and should have the equivalent of at least 3 years of formal instruction in Arabic prior to joining CASA. International students are welcome to apply as PYOW participants if they if they have outside funding.  We encourage all applicants to seek outside funding as the overseas sites can often accommodate more students than available funding can support.
