Languages & Cultures of the Middle East Sub Plan

Languages and Cultures of the Middle East

Students who choose the Languages and Cultures of the Middle East track aim for high proficiency in the Middle Eastern language of their choice (Arabic, Hebrew, Persian or Turkish). This track requires language training at least through the third-year (Advanced) level and supplements this training with courses in literature, culture and society, including a two course sequence that covers Middle Eastern history from the rise of Islam to the present.
