34th Annual Symposium on Arabic Linguistics

The School of Middle Eastern and North African Studies in collaboration with the Arabic Linguistics Society hosted the 34th Annual Symposium on Arabic Linguistics, February 28 - March 1. The event, which was organized by Dr. Mahmoud Azaz, featured Professor Noam Chomsky, founder of modern linguistics, four keynote speakers, 29 paper presentations, and seven posters. Presenters came from 14 countries worldwide, including the MENA region. The conference proceedings will be published in Perspectives on Arabic Linguistics (PAL34) in the Arabic Linguistics Series by John Benjamins (UK).
