Mourad Abdennebi Wins WAGS 3MT Competition

Congratulations to Mourad Abdennebi on taking first place in the 2025 Western Association of Graduate Schools regional 3MT competition! 

Mourad is a PhD student in the Second Language Acquisition and Teaching Graduate Interdisciplinary Program and a dedicated Arabic language instructor in the School of Middle Eastern and North African Studies. After winning the University of Arizona Grad Slam competition earlier this year, Mourad advanced to compete in the WAGS 3MT competition. 

The WAGS 3MT competition is a region-wide competition amongst universities in the Western Association of Graduate Schools for the best 3-minute graduate student presentation of a thesis or dissertation. Winners then go on to have the opportunity to compete in the national 3MT competition.
