MENAS General Fund
The School of Middle Eastern and North African Studies is a multi-disciplinary unit focusing on the region extending from Morocco to Afghanistan which includes the Arab world, Iran, Israel and Turkey. We provide a full range of language courses in Arabic, Persian, Turkish and Hebrew (through Judaic Studies) and undergraduate and graduate studies in culture, history, religion, politics and conflict. Adel Sulaiman Gamal Scholarship Fund
The Dr. Adel Sulaiman Gamal scholarship fund was formed in honor of Dr. Adel Gamal in appreciation of his dedicated career in academic research and teaching. The endowment generates revenue to support graduate and undergraduate students who have reached an advanced level of Arabic at the University of Arizona.
Michael Bonine Memorial Travel & Research Award
The "Michael Bonine Memorial Travel & Research Endowment Award" has been established in honor of our former Department Professor Michael Bonine. This award supports summer travel by undergraduate students and the pursuit of academic activities by graduate students enrolled in, or affiliated with, the School of Middle Eastern and North African Studies. Donations are welcomed via check or through an online payment.
Arizona Center for Turkish Studies
The Arizona Center for Turkish Studies is a research center bringing together a large and growing interdisciplinary group of faculty and students from across the University of Arizona campus, visiting scholars, and partner institution students to generate scholarship on Turkish society, history, politics, economy, environment, literature, film, art, architecture and music. The Center is dedicated to broadly conceived, innovative approaches to the past and present of the peoples and cultures of contemporary Turkey and the Ottoman Empire, as well as their diasporas.
