New Funding for MENAS Master's Students: Nofal Family Foundation Fellowship

Thanks to a generous gift from the Nofal Family Foundation, the School of Middle Eastern & North African Studies (MENAS) will be able to offer financial support to Masters students pursuing degrees in MENAS.  Jorj and Caryn Nofal, both University of Arizona graduates, recently established the Nofal Family Foundation and selected MENAS as one of the first recipients due to their passion for education and their interest in supporting students studying the MENA region at UA.  This gift will help to fill a gap in MENAS’s ability to support students at the MA level where funding is typically scarce.  The Nofal Family Foundation Fellowship will provide $30,000 of graduate fellowship support over a two-year period starting in 2018 and will be used to support students applying during the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 academic years.
