I am a PhD student in the School of Middle Eastern and North African Studies at the University of Arizona. I have a BA in anthropology from the University of Texas at San Antonio and an M.A. in Middle Eastern and North African Studies from the University of Arizona.. I specialize in foodways studies in the Middle East, particularly, in the Levant. I have a particular interest in Israel/Palestine. My research interests include: Levant, Israel, Palestine, foodways, food insecurity, food sovreignty, commensality, agriculture, resource management, sustainable peacebuilding, conflict transformation, practice theory, nudge theory, humanist approach and humanistic geography, positionality, identity, gender, halfies, folk lore and folk ways, cultural erasure, fusing tradition and innovation, grassroots initiatives
